Y'all may not know this yet, but I've recently jailbreaked my iPod Touch. At first I thought it wasn't worth it all because Cydia was being a bit laggy and making my iPod lag and mainly because I couldn't download the game I've been waiting forever to get - Taiko no Tatsujin: iPhone ver. Thanks to my super awesome friend, est. 2002 (I think? Been friends for such a long time I don't remember how long ^^;), who recently got an iPhone and jailbreaked his too. So I happened to be on MSN just that time and he broke some amazing news telling me that I could download Taiko and every other app in the iTunes store for absolutely free by simply adding a source into Cydia.

Well, I want to spread the word to all you iDevice owners on how to do this.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE: BEFORE YOU ATTEMPT THE JAILBREAK MAKE SURE YOUR iDEVICE'S SOFTWARE IS UPDATED TO iOS4.0 USING iTUNES. AFTER YOU DO THIS, YOU WILL HAVE TO RE-INSTALL EVERYTHING YOU HAVEN'T COPIED TO YOUR PC/LAPTOP.

1. Jailbreak your iPod Touch/iPhone by entering this link into your iDevice's internet browser: http://jailbreakme.modmyi.com/
   
2. Follow the instruction on the website which is by sliding the arrow on the bottom of the screen - it says SLIDE TO JAILBREAK.
   
3. Wait patiently for your device to jailbreak. When it's sucessfully jailbroken, a success message will be displayed and you must restart your device.
   
4. After restart, an app named "Cydia" will appear on your home screen. The app is the circled one on the screenshot.
   
5. Now load the Cydia app.


6. Go to Manage>Sources>Add


7. Tap "Add" and enter the following url: http://cydia.hackulo.us/


8. After it is successfully added, go to search and enter "Installous" and download it.


9. The Installous app is the one next to the Cydia one in the screenshot above.


10. Congrats! Now go ahead and download any app that would usually cost you a fortune in iTunes at free of charge. Even foreign apps can be installed, such as Taiko no Tatsujin.
